THE MESSIAH'S MISSION In our study today we will particularly note the Saviour's link with the temple. He was to be the glory of the temple over which many had lamented. "And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts," Haggai 2:7. He Who came to do His Father's will would centre His labours upon His Father's house, John 2:16. It was there He was presented to the Lord as an infant, Luke 2:22, was seen about His Father's business, Luke 2:49, there He appeared at the beginning, John 2:14. Here the blind and the lame came to Him to be healed; there He often preached, and often disputed, and often wrought miracles. He rode to it in triumph at the close of His ministry, Matt 21:12. It is to the place of the sacrifice we must go if we would meet Him and make Him ours.
