God's ambush for wicked men from which there is no escape.

Preached by Rev Ivan Foster on Lord's Day evening, May 10th, 1987.

"And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten," 2 Chronicles 20:22.

The ambushing of 8 IRA men, intent on bombing the police station at Loughgall in Co Armagh and kill any policemen on the premises, by members of the security forces on Friday evening past, May 8th, was a heartening event for all those who have mourned and grieved over the reign of terror that these IRA men perpetrated in our area of Fermanagh and South Tyrone area.

It must be seen as an answer to prayer. Read Psalm 37:1-7, 34 and see that this is so. As an answer to prayer, let it encourage us to continue to pray against the IRA, and in the wake of the ambush, pray also for the security forces. This successful military operation is the background for our message tonight.
