The Devil's Undercover Agents, Part 3.

"For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ," Jude 1:4.

THE METHOD WE MUST EMPLOY WHEN CONTENDING AGAINST THESE CREEPERS

1. This method will be greatly resisted. Naturally enough the devil will seek to hinder EFFECTIVE opposition to him. 1 Sam 7:7-13. The Lamb in the hands of the prophet!! Preaching the Word and upholding the Lamb the devil fears!

2. We must resort to the Word of God. Verses 5, 17-18. It will teachour hands to war and our fingers to fight.

3. It is by the Word that we will be built up in our faith. Verse 20. When disease, a virus strikes we need building up! A right diet is necessary. Today the church is fed on the candyfloss and cheap dainties of the world rather than the good Word of God, the Bread of Life.

4. Prayer is likewise essential, v 20. When the devil is speaking to use we need to take to speaking with the Lord! Isa 40:31.

5. We must keep ourselves in the love of God, v 21. Apostasy attacks our love for God. Matt 24:12, Rev 2:4.

6. We must never forget the return of Christ, v 21. This is a key element in the devil's attack. 2 Pet 3:1-4; Matt 24:42-51.

7. Be filled with a desire to see sinners saved vs 22-23. While it is the devil's purpose to 'kill off' evangelism it must be ours to keep alive the witness of the gospel.

A. Sinners are nigh unto burning, verse 23.

B. It is our task to pull them out, verse 23.

C. Guarding ourselves at all times, verse 23.
