Shout of praise that says it allHe hath done all things wellRev. Ivan Foster · Sunday - PMMark 7:37 · Sun Aug 3, 2008
"And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak," Mark 7:37. When the Saviour had cured the woman of Canaan's daughter, he had done what he had to do in that place, and therefore left that area, and returned to the sea of Galilee, his usual residence. He did not come there directly, but passed through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis, which lay mostly on the other side Jordan, doubtless, there performing more miracles and preaching the gospel as he went about doing good. There is a contrast to be noted between the methods the Saviour employed when delivering the Canaanite girl from the devil and the man of Galilee from deafness and virtual dumbness. In the first case, He said but a word and in the latter, He both acted and spoke. This miracle is recorded only by Mark.
