3. Entrance into the kingdom of God is by Jesus Christ.
It is His kingdom for He purchased an entrance into it for His people. Note — it is not called the “kingdom of Mary”!
II. THE DECEPTIONS THAT COME OF VAIN WORDS
“Let no man deceive you with vain words.”
1. Paul had to frequently issue this warning.
1 Cor 6:9-10; 15:50; Gal 5:19-21.
2. The pressure that Christians face on this issue.
The “wisdom” of man is exerted in promotion of the view that sin is not harmful. Sinners are “evangelistic.” They push their ideas — hence the change in society today.
3. Despite the dangers being known to them, Christians still succumb to temptation.
They “know” but still get “deceived.” Sin is disguised and concealed and camouflaged.
