Bring Back the King, 4Recovery from Rebellion · part 4 of 4Rev. Ivan Foster · Conference2 Samuel 19:10 · Mon May 7, 2012
"Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?" 2 Samuel 19:10. The final message in a series of 4 preached at the Believers' Bible Conference held in Liverpool Free Presbyterian Salop Chapel, 5th & 7th May 2012. "The Conclusion of the King's return" The hearts of the people have been moved and melted by the words of David as proclaimed by Zadok and Abiathar. There has been an invitation sent to the king. But more remains to be done. THE PEOPLE MUST GO OUT TO MEET HIM "So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan," 19:15. There is a need today for a seeking of the Lord. They did not wait for him in Jerusalem but went forth to meet him. "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up," James 4:8-10. Here is what we must do and here are the sins we have been guilty of.
