"The Conditions which followed the King's removal" At the first, things seemed to go well for Absalom and his rebellion. Rebellion, even against God, can appear to enjoy success! 2 Sam 15:13-14. Had there been an election or an opinion poll, Absalom would have won! But in the end, no rebellion against God and His Truth can succeed and must end in shame, defeat and death! "And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle." What now his popular support? Following this tragic end, the people begin to reflect. Friends, now is a time for reflection!
