The Return of Christ, Pt 64KICS School Assembly Talks · part 64 of 72Rev. Ivan Foster · Tue May 26, 2015Revelation 20:11-15 · Children
Time will end with the judgment of the Great White Throne. A. Here is the dreadful final fate of sinners. They are brought forth to stand before Christ, verse 11. This is Christ. "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead," Acts 17:30-31. B. They will be judged according to their works. They refused the 'WORK' of Christ but clung to their own works for salvation now those works will be weighed in the balances, judged and found wanting. C. A most dreadful sentence follows. "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire," Revelation 20:15. This is where the devil, the beast and the false prophet had been cast. This is eternal damnation. Note 20:10. "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." There still in the lake of fire after 1000 years (19:20). "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death," Revelation 21:8. There is no end to God's everlasting punishment just as there is no end to the everlasting bliss and joy of the saved.
