The Christian is called a soldier and our Redeemer is called the "Captain" of our salvation, (See Hebrews 2:10) and also "the captain of the LORD'S host," Joshua 5:15. The Christian is engaged in a battle at all times. He is engaged in a conflict on many fronts. Consider these introductory remarks which will help us to understand how essential is the Lord's strength in this warfare.
