Last Lord's Day marked the 40th anniversary of the preacher's ordination as a gospel minister. All told, he has been preaching for 44 years having opened his mouth publicly to speak of Christ shortly after his conversion April 5th 1964. Last week, we recalled how I was directed to adopt Jeremiah as a role model by one of the preachers at my ordination in Lisbellaw in Co. Fermanagh, Dr Ian Paisley. I chose Jeremiah chapter 1 as my text when we began this sermon last week. I sought to show the message I preached and the tactics I adopted from this passage. We conclude the message this evening by considering: The witness I maintained; The offences I caused; The harvest I sought.
