Fifty years of mercyRev. Ivan FosterPsalm 32:5 · Sunday - PMSun Apr 20, 2014
50 years of mercy A word of testimony by Ivan Foster given in Tyndale FPC "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah," Psalm 32:5. On 'Good Friday', March 27th, 1964, while travelling on a train from Belfast to Portrush with a friend called Albert, a group of young ladies testified to us of our need of salvation. As we left the train in Portrush, one of the girls, her name was Hazel, said to me: "You have mocked us all during the journey but just remember that God has said: My Spirit will not always strive with man." Those words proved to be the means of saving my soul some 11 days later. This is my testimony of God's mercy to a poor sinner over the last 50 years.
