Solomon erected the temple in Jerusalem at the beginning of his reign. We continue our study of the existence and use of a temple during the reign of Christ. Zech 14:16-17. Ezekiel prophesied of this temple. Chapters 40-46. The details given by Ezekiel indicate that it is an edifice far greater in size than was Solomon's temple. There are those who object to the whole idea of temple worship in the millennial reign, indeed of there ever being a millennial reign! One of the reasons put forward is the size of the temple as depicted by Ezekiel. 'It could not fit on the present temple site,' they say! Absolute correct. But God indicates that at the coming of Christ this world will be subjected to tremendous geological changes. Changes that were foreshadowed at the time of the flood. Look at Zechariah 14:3-4; Hebs 1:10-12, 12:26, Matt 24:29-30. There will take place things beyond our imagination on that great day.
