The wonderful invitations of the Saviour. No 2 - An invitation to a rich man. "And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house", Luke 19:5. (Preached in Tavistock FPC) We will consider another invitation issued by the Lord Jesus, this time to a rich man. He was Zacchaeus, a chief publican and a very rich man. He was a leading member of that body notorious for its greed and unprincipled practices. Yet he was wonderfully saved. He was a most unlikely subject viewed from the man's perspective but just such a one that Christ came to seek and to save.
