We are looking at some Scriptures which speak of the universal reign of Christ over all the Gentile nations. Presently Christ is sovereign over all the nations BUT He chooses not to directly intervene in the affairs of men to the degree we are told that one day He will. Just look at Mark's Gospel 15:16-25 for an example of how the Saviour presently permits men to rebel against Him without immediate retaliation, payback or vengeance. Judgment will take place, of course, one day but presently the Lord permits it to happen. When Christ takes over the direct governance of this world He will place men under restraints not presently in operation. Today, defiance of God, by word and action takes place. But in the age that will follow this one, that will not be so. Look at these Scriptures.
