We continue our consideration of the exercising discipline in the church. It certainly entails pain. Heb 12:11, Psl 51:7, 1 Cor 11:30. "To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus," 1 Cors 5:5. Note word "destruction"! It means "ruin or death". It is not easy to bear therefore. It requires grace and submission by those disciplined. "And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good," 1 Samuel 3:18; 2 Samuel 12:13; 1 Peter 5:6.
