The 12th picture of Christ - Boaz Ruth 2:11. When we glean the information given us here about Boaz we discover a wonderful type of our Saviour. He was an informed redeemer. "And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore," Ruth 2:11. Ruth knew him not but he knew Ruth. Long before we knew anything of Christ, He knew us. Remember Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus: "Who art thou Lord?" He did not know the Lord but the Lord had addressed him by name! So it has been with each one saved.
