Love's fire burns low - Pt 3Love diminishing · part 3 of 3Rev. Ivan Foster · Sunday - AMRevelation 2:4-5 · Sun Dec 6, 2009
Preached in Tavistock FPC. In our study of our text so far, we have considered: The beginnings of the church at Ephesus and the privileges it enjoyed under Paul's and Timothy's and John's ministry. We noted that despite these blessings they left their first love. Even though they had engaged in many commendable duties, the Saviour indicated that none of them compensated for their leaving of their first love. We also consider a definition of our first love and wherein the greatness of the sin of leaving it lay. Today, we conclude our study with the remedy for leaving our first love. That remedy centres upon three words: REMEMBERING, REPENTING AND RECOMMENCING.
