What is the Gospel?? "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek," Romans 1/16. (Preached in Tavistock FPC) It is most fitting that the chapter which tells us of the dark inclinations of man's heart, its rebellion against the Almighty and the dreadful doom that those sinful inclinations bring upon men, should also tell us of God's grand remedy -- the Gospel. In the light of the terrible events revealed in the court case of the two young boys who savagely attack two other boys, this chapter should be read for an explanation for such wicked behaviour. My subject this morning is -- WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? My text will, at least in part, give us an answer to that question. It contains four things for our consideration.
