In this final study of this series on the ultimate revival we will consider: THE BLESSINGS BELIEVERS WILL ENJOY The blessing is five-fold, verse 11. 1. Return. The word means "restore", "bring back". Sin has taken Israel far away but even so the Lord will bring them back. 2. Unto Zion. Back to the place forsaken and long desolate. 3. With singing. What a change, Psalm 137:1-4. Sin robs us of our song. 4. For ever. "Everlasting joy". Not a temporary measure. 5. Departure of sorrow and mourning. They will flee away. THE BATTLE HAS BEEN THE LORD'S 1. He initiated our prayers. "And I have put my words in thy mouth," verse 16. The grace of God will lie behind Israel seeking the Lord. 2. He is determined to comfort. Verse 12. That being so, why should we fear mortal man? 3. He will apply the victory of Calvary. Man by nature is a wanderer in the wilderness, Song of Solomon 8:5; Luke 15:4. He stands between us and the burning heat, Ps 17:8; 36:7; 57:1; 91:1; Isa 33:2, Revelation 7:13-17. Here is the consummation of all things. Here is how the story will end.
