Ruth was to prepare herself to approach Boaz.

"Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee," Ruth 3:3.

Note the 3-fold preparation.

Washing,

Anointing (John 12:3),

Raiment.

This is the three-fold on-going experience of the true child of God.

She was to be as a bride. She came to give herself away.
