This is a courageous sermon preached by retired minister, Rev David Linden, in Larne Free Presbyterian Church, on the Sabbath morning, 26 April 2026.

We salute the courage of Rev Linden, and pray that God will use his warnings to awaken the many sleeping Christians within the Free Presbyterian Church to the great and increasing threat that faces our continuance as a body of believers enjoying the Lord’s blessing.

The departure within the Free Presbyterian Church has penetrated the Whitefield College of the Bible and if something is not done to stop this  slide, then we will see a repeat of that which followed Prof J E Davey’s penetration of the College of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland some 100+ years ago!

“‭Your‭ glorying‭ ‭is‭ not‭ good‭. Know ye‭‭ not‭ that‭ a little‭ leaven‭ leaveneth‭‭ the whole‭ lump‭?‭” 1 Corinthians 5:6.

“‭And‭ have‭‭ no‭ fellowship‭‭ with the unfruitful‭ works‭ of darkness‭, but‭ rather‭‭ reprove‭‭ ‭them‭.‭ ‭For‭ it is‭‭ a shame‭ even‭ to speak‭‭ of those things‭‭ which are done‭‭ of‭ them‭ in secret‭,” Ephesians 5:11-12.

“‭Beloved‭, when I gave‭‭ all‭ diligence‭ to write‭‭ unto you‭ of‭ the common‭ salvation‭, it was‭‭ needful‭ for me‭‭ to write‭‭ unto you‭, and exhort‭‭ ‭you‭ that ye should earnestly contend‭‭ for the faith‭ which was once‭ delivered‭‭ unto the saints‭.‭ ‭For‭ there are certain‭ men‭ crept in unawares‭‭, who‭ were before‭‭ of old‭ ordained‭‭ to‭ this‭ condemnation‭, ungodly men‭, turning‭‭ the grace‭ of our‭ God‭ into‭ lasciviousness‭, and‭ denying‭‭ the only‭ Lord‭ God‭, and‭ our‭ Lord‭ Jesus‭ Christ‭,” Jude 1:3-4.
