The Christian has a very different view of Christ than the world does. Everything about Christ's person and work prompts a radically different reaction on the part of the Christian to the reaction of the worldly minded. This distinction is to be seen in the believer's attitude to Christ's birth. Any consideration of that event must necessarily be different on the Christian's part. The manner of the world's celebration of that event must ever be carefully considered and diligent attention given to make sure that our views of that event align with Scripture. Our celebration of Christ's birth is limited by: The fact that no date has been recorded. It is possible to work out generally the time of His birth—the early fall, September. That no command for any specific religious observance of the event has been given. The application of Biblical principles of worship. If Christ is God manifest in flesh (1 Tim 3:16) then our every attitude and action toward Him, even in His birth Heb 1:6, is to be stamped with the marks of true, spiritual worship. That said, it is important that we should know what the Bible teaches about the birth of Christ. Not least because it is the first step in the provision of redemption for sinners. Further, because of the perverse ideas that abound on the subject and are embraced by the unwitting. The birth of Christ was accompanied by an outburst of song from Heaven.
