The royal purpose of God that Christ should be Ruler in Israel and great to the ends of the earth is often lost sight of because of the lowly circumstances of His birth. Just as His deity is often disregarded because of the veil of flesh, so the purpose of God that Christ should reign is neglected because of lowliness of His birth and life.
