Israel's pain and preservation, Psalm 10, Part 1KICS Studies - Some of my Favorite Psalms · part 54 of 69Rev. Ivan Foster · YouthPsalm 10 · Mon Oct 17, 2022

We are looking at ‘Future days for Israel as pictured in the Psalms’. We are going to turn now to Psalm 10.

In Psalm 7 we saw David viewing by faith the triumph of Christ over all His and our enemies and how he could therefore sing in the midst of tribulation because of this knowledge. Such a view given first is a common feature of prophecy. This seen in  Rev 6:1-2.

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

BUT now we want to consider what else the Old Testament saints were aware of regarding the end times. In this Psalm, prophetically we are looking at the closing years of this Age.

I. IT WILL BE A TIME OF PAIN FOR ISRAEL

How important therefore that they KNOW of their ultimate victory!

The word trouble is ‘tribulation’. The same word appears in Jeremiah 30:7, ‘Jacob’s trouble’, the ‘great tribulation’, Matt 24:21.
