Future days for Israel as pictured in the Psalms, Pt 2KICS Studies - Some of my Favorite Psalms · part 46 of 69Rev. Ivan Foster · YouthPsalm 110:2-3 · Tue Sep 13, 2022

“The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power,” Psalm 110:2-3.

Note in these words:

1. Christ’s capital city when he comes again . Zion is chosen of God as the place from which Christ shall reign after He returns. Ps 2:6, 48:1-2, 50:1-2, 76.

2. Christ will rule out of Zion. Indeed it will become the capital of the world! The world will be changed. It was spoken of by Peter just after Pentecost. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began,” Acts 3:19-21.

Things will be restored most wonderfully. (New King in UK today but no changes!!!!)

3. The instrument of conquest. “The rod of thy strength.” What is this? His Word. Moses rod was a picture. By it enemies defeated, Israel led, the way opened through danger and the people feed and watered.
