THE WORDS OF THE SAVIOUR ARE UNIQUELY POWERFUL

1. It is by God’s Word that creation came about and is preserved. Gen 1:3. “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” “Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,” Hebs 1:3. “For by him (He Who is the WORD) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist,” Cols 1:16-17.

2. That power will be displayed in the defeat of Antichrist. “But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked,” Isa 11:4. “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming,” 2 Thess 2:8.

3. That power will be seen in the resurrection of the dead. John 5:28-29; 1 Thess 4:16. We must ever hold the Word of God in the highest regard, boys and girls.
