Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward,” Hebrews 11:25-26.   On Tuesday past we considered how there was to be seen in the life of Moses a likeness to the Saviour at a time of great trouble for him. It reminds us that no matter what our circumstances, we should seek to show forth the grace of Christ in our lives. An example of this is seen in Acts 7:60.

  1. Notice how the thinking of Moses differs from that of mankind generally.Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin.” That is not how men think by nature. Man sees and loves the pleasures of sin and embraces them most gladly. Job 15:16.
