A woman set at liberty Mark 5:25-34 (Preached in Tavistock FPC, 8th Nov '09) From the gospel record you may get the impression that more men than women were healed by the Lord during His earthly ministry. However that may be, in this chapter we find two females blessed by the Lord. One is a girl of 12 who is raised from the dead and the other is a mature women delivered from a disease that was slowly bringing her down to death. She was struck down with her malady in the year that the young girl was born. We will consider the older woman's wonderful cure this evening. It centres upon the fact that she discovered the Lord Jesus to be a most wonderful person. She believed that were she but to touch His garments she would be healed and she was right.
