SOARING UPWARD OUT OF DESPAIR, Pt 5 They shall walk, and not faint, Isaiah 40:31. (Prayer talk in Lewes FPC. First preached in Kilskeery FPC 14th November 1999) We have been looking at the blessed consequences of waiting upon the Lord and renewing our strength. We are enabled to fly upward as the eagle in communion with the Lord. We are enabled to run unwearied in the service of the Lord. Now we will consider walking without fainting or . . . THE PACE OF THE PILGRIM Walking suggests that journeying through life under the gaze of men in which, when we constantly wait upon God, we show forth the grace and power of God at work in our lives. Walking is often linked with proof of God's blessing in the life, Matt 9:5, 11:5, 15:31. Our walk demonstrates what is in our hearts, Acts 14:16, Rom 6:4, 8:1, Eph 4:1, 5:8.
