The judgment of the wicked which is referred to in our text is not the judgment of the great white throne. That judgment, according to Rev 20:5, 11-15, does not take place until after the millennial reign of the Lord Jesus. The judgment of the wicked referred to in our text is that of those "that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." In Ezekiel 36:25-28, we have a prophecy of the Lord gathering Israel out of the nations to her own land again and there graciously regenerating them. Their regeneration will take place at the return of Christ, as Zech 12:10 and Rev 1:7 also indicate. In Ezekiel 36:33-36 we read of "the heathen that are left round about . . " This same truth is set out in Zechariah 14:16. " . . . every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." Thus, unbelievers will remain after the coming of Christ who will not have been swept away in the judgment which has accompanied His return. Those that have been swept away are those armies which were in coalition with Antichrist in his bid to destroy Jerusalem and wipe out Israel. Under Antichrist there will be a repudiating of the gospel and a worshipping of Antichrist and the devil, Rev 13:4. It is his forces that will be the subject of the wrath of the Lamb. In these verses before us we have the Harvest of the Rebel.
