For the wife the issue is submission and for the husband the issue is love. In both instances, the relationship between the Saviour and His church forms the pattern for both graces. Love is a debased and misused word today. The meaning given it by modern society is far removed from its true meaning. Definition: "The heart's delight in someone so that there springs up a desire for the good of that person and a seeking and promoting of that good to the utmost of our power."
