As a new school year has begun, Rev Foster has been asked to speak at two morning assembly meetings. His theme for 2015-16 is DV, "Pictures of Christ in the Bible." The fourth Picture of Christ Noah's Ark Genesis 6:14-16. It had one window which looked UPWARD. That is the view we should have. It had only one door. It was in the side. It pictures for us Christ the ONLY door, John 10:9. It speaks of the wounded side of Christ from which His blood was shed and by which a way into God's presence is made for us, redeemed by His blood. It preserved from the flood all who entered into it. I believe that it held all the animals because it is likely that the young of all the creatures were brought in. Less food and room would have been needed. It would fit in with the teaching of Matthew 18:3. "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven," There would have been harmony amongst the creatures as they were subdued by God's power, their instincts suppressed. God's ark brought all its inhabitants to a new world. So it is with Christ. "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness," 2 Peter 3:13. That is where Christ, God's Ark, is taking His people. "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also," John 14:1-3.
