The Lord Jesus truly is the great Physician. He rightly deserves that title since He is not only great in His person but He has shown His greatness in the remarkable deliverances He has wrought. One of the most remarkable of these cases is that of Manasseh. He exceeded all other wicked kings and was the direct cause of the sinfulness in Judah which finally brought down God's judgment on the kingdom. "And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying, Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols: therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle," 2 Kings 21:10-12. His name means "causing to forget". He did much to have the name and works of the Lord forgotten in Judah!
