The Ultimate Revival #8Studies in Isaiah 51:9-11 · part 8 of 16Rev. Ivan Foster · Sunday - AMIsaiah 51:9-11 · Sun Oct 15, 2006
In our study of these verses we have covered two main areas so far. They are THE WAYWARDNESS OF GOD'S PEOPLE and THE WITHDRAWAL BY GOD FROM HIS PEOPLE. Jer 12:7. In this study I wish to have you consider with me : THE WINTER THAT DESCENDS UPON GOD'S PEOPLE. The Lord is the light and life of His people. There can not be a withdrawal by Him of His gracious influences and a distancing of Himself from us without us feeling the dreadful consequences of such a thing. The winter season provides us with a telling illustration of the consequences of the Lord's withdrawal from His people for a time. Today we consider two more main points. 2. TIME PASSES SLOWLY IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES. 3. IN WINTER THE FRUITS OF FORMER HARVESTS ARE COUNTED PRECIOUS.
