That the gospel is a message from God to sinners in an individual and personal sense may be seen by the fact that an account of our response to it will be given in an individual and personal manner. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad," 2 Cor 5:10. An account will be given of this night's proceedings. Again, the specific command of Christ to His disciples plainly indicates that the gospel is intended for all men. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," Mark 16:15. The call of the gospel is to extend to the ends of the earth. "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else," Isaiah 45:22.
