These words lie at the heart of the controversy between Romanism and Bible Christianity. They must therefore be very important! These words must also be understood by all who would enjoy the life of which they speak. Modern multi-faithism is but a resurgence of the pagan philosophy of ancient times. It is no new thing. It was the religion of the Roman Empire when it was common practice for the gods of conquered nations to be added to panoply of deities honoured and revered by the citizens of the empire in their pantheon. The outcome of such teaching is utter carelessness regarding the soul and its eternal well-being. The teaching promoted in state schools today can only drive the nation into greater darkness and wickedness and spiritual anarchy. The Bible teaches monotheism. There is only one God and He subsists eternally as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. "There is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him," 1 Corinthians 8:6.
