Christ's closing words on the subject of prophecy, Part 2. Starting from Rev 22:6, we have the Saviour's final words to John at the end of this great book which contains the wonderful visions of the future which he was instructed to write down and share it with us. Here in the final chapter we have Christ's concluding remarks on the prophecies contained in this book and on prophecy in general. It is important that we heed what He says. "And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book," Revelation 22:6-7. We have considered the trustworthiness of prophecy Never Doubt the Bible! Everything thing in it is true. What it says about God. What it says about you. - What it says about eternity. What it says about salvation. All is true and must be believed. Today we will consider that the rejection of what the Bible says is fatal. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." "Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God," Deut 12:28. It cannot be well with us if we reject God's Word and make Him a liar. That was the sin of Adam and Eve. "Yea, hath God said?" (Genesis 3:1) were the words of the devil to them and they believed the devil and rejected God's truthfulness.
