Question a general election will not answerOur thoughts on ChristRev. Ivan Foster · Sunday - PMMatthew 22:42 · Sun May 8, 2005
This question by Christ is in keeping with that attitude God displays in Isaiah 1:20. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool," Isaiah 1:18. God would have man reason with Him about the eternal things. Natural man is not inclined to meditate upon the Lord. "The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts," Psalm 10:4. Heaven would have us consider Christ and ponder just Who He is and it is only by divine grace that such thoughts will arise within the human heart.
