The Armour of God Strength for the Battle. (Part 2) "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might," Ephesians 6:10. (Preached in Lewes FPC, Lord's Day evening, 18th May 2014. First preached in Kilskeery FPC, 6th February 1994) How often the terms of war are linked with the Christian's pilgrimage! The Christian is called a soldier and our Redeemer is called the "Captain" of our salvation, (See Hebrews 2:10) and also "the captain of the LORD'S host," Joshua 5:15. The Christian is engaged in a battle at all times. He is engaged in a conflict on many fronts. That being so, he needs a strength that is superhuman! His own strength would fail him. He must be "be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."
