"He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." The literal translation of this statement by the Saviour is most interesting. There are five negatives in that short statement. It might be stated thus: "The Lord will not, yea, He will not; surely He will not forsake His servants or neglect them, and withdraw His presence and providence from them. This is a powerful statement of the abiding presence of the Lord." No guarantee was ever stated so strongly as this.
