Christ putting down rebellion during the Millennial Reign Isaiah 60:1-10 Today, I wish to conclude our consideration of how that the beginning of the Millennial reign of Christ is the start of a process. Just as birth is the start of a process with us all which is followed by growth and increase. So when Christ comes again and Israel is converted and brought to a saving knowledge of Christ there begins a process. Isaiah 60:1-10 gives us some details of what will begin to happen. The Gentile nations will begin to come to Jerusalem to pay homage to the Lord and to His chosen nation, Israel. They will bring riches in abundance and also the returning Jews from the nations of their earth where they have been scattered. That process is emphasised by one word in Isaiah 2:2. "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it," Isaiah 2:2. The word "established" means to "prepare, to set right, to fashion." The same same Hebrew word is used by Joshua in Joshua 1:11. "Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it," Joshua 1:10-11. Here it is translated "prepare." They were to make ready for the crossing of Jordan and entering into Canaan. So, a process of preparation, of establishing, begins when Christ returns to Jerusalem.
