Since the beginning of the new school year in September 2015, Rev Foster has been speaking at two morning assembly meetings each week. His theme for 2015-16 is DV, "Pictures of Christ in the Bible." Moses the eighth picture of Christ 8. After being rejected by Israel, both Moses and the Lord Jesus were received by Gentiles. "But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian" (Ex. 2:15). Following Christ's rejection by the Jews, we read, "God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His name" (Acts 15:14). Again, we read of Paul's actions in Corinth when opposed by the Jews. "And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles," Acts 18:6. This scene is so reminiscent of what happened at the cross, Matt 27:24-25. The phrase 'take out' is illustrated for us in Mark 9:36. "And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them."
