"Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate," Jeremiah 44:4. The detestation that God has for idolatry, for this specifically is the sin referred in the text, he has for all sin. In this text we have the nature of sin, the hatred God has for it and His plea to sinners. This message was originally preached in Kilskeery in 1994 and repeated in Sixmilecross Free Presbyterian Church this Lord's Day evening.
