Since the beginning of the new school year in September 2015, Rev Foster has been asked to speak at two morning assembly meetings each week. His theme for 2015-16 is DV, "Pictures of Christ in the Bible." Seventh Picture of Christ - Joseph Genesis 37:5-11 Joseph spoke of his future glory and honour and was hated of his brethren. In that he was like the Saviour. At the beginning of His ministry, Jesus said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man," John 1:51. At His trial He said: "Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?" Mark 14:60-63. Joseph was hated of his brethren but his dreams angered them all the more. "And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more," Genesis 37:4-5. "Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words," verse 8. " . . . . his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying," verses 10-11. The Lord Jesus was hated because He claimed to be the Messiah and that He would come again in glory. What sorrow Israel has suffered since that day of rejection!
