“And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?” Mark 5:30.
Having made the woman acknowledge the mercy she had enjoyed when she touched His clothes, the Saviour goes on to pronounce further blessings upon her.
I. HER CONFESSION LED ON TO FURTHER BLESSING
“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague,” Mark 5:34.
1. She was instructed. “Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole.” We need to know the means by which our deliverance came - Faith in Christ. She grew in grace and the knowledge of the Lord, 2 Peter 3:18.
2. She was given assurance. “Daughter, . . . . be whole of thy plague.” She had “felt in her body that she was healed of that plague” (verse 29). Now she had something greater - Christ’s word. Whatever pains she felt later in life she knew was not the return of the old plague.
3. She was granted peace. “ . . . go in peace.” “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep (see 2 Cor 11:32 for the meaning of the word) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7. She never need worry about this matter any more. Such is the blessing bestowed on those who look to Christ for forgiveness of sin. Our sins are gone forever. Isaiah 43:25, Micah 7:19. Exodus 14:13. TODAY, you may be pardoned from all your sins FOREVER by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.
