“And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?” Mark 5:30.
I. THE CONFESSION CHRIST DEMANDED
1. The Lord’s mercy must be acknowledged. “Who touched my clothes?” Here is the condition under which Christ’s blessing is bestowed. Man of Gadara, verse 19-20.
2. There is no such things as being saved secretly. Faith in Christ must be openly acknowledged. “And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple,” Luke 14:27. Joseph of Arimathaea, John 19:38.
3. The apparent waste of time would prove to be a blessing to Jairus. Verse 35. His faith would be tested. Yet the delay in the Saviour’s response result in the greater blessing of a daughter raised from the dead!!
