BRITAIN HAS BECOME ‘PRO’ EVERYTHING THAT IS OF THE DEVIL AND ‘ANTI’ EVERYTHING THAT IS OF GOD!

I was notified of the shameful and distressing arrest of a brother for preaching the gospel of Christ by Mr Philip Knowles, pastor of Lewes Free Presbyterian Church.I have met Pastor John Sherwood many years ago and I know that Pastor Peter Simpson is well known in Protestant circles in England.

It is to be noted that the action of the police against a handful of peaceful Christians, witnessing to their fellow citizens of their need of Christ and warning them of the errors that abound today, differed very much from their actions the next day when thousands of anti-Covid regulation protesters marched through London in utter defiance of the law. A riot ensued in which the police were assaulted and forced to run for their lives. It would appear from videos and pictures of the events that policemen were hospitalised as a result of the attacks upon them.

I have to say that it is not surprising that such an event should overtake them in the wake of the shameful action of the same police force the day before. 

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap,” Galatians 6:7.

Following the Hyde Park protest ‘riot’, Ken Marsh, chairman of the Met Police Federation, said: “Peaceful protest may well be the cornerstone of democracy - and police officers have a role in facilitating that - but the scenes we saw in Hyde Park yesterday of brave and sadly bloodied police officers coming under attack from thugs were anything but peaceful.”

There was nothing of that spirit shown to Pastor John Sherwood when the police acted against a peaceful gospel meeting at the behest of ant-Bible agitators and advocates of perversion.

The Christian people of the United Kingdom need to realise and understand the ‘times’ in which we live.We are entering upon that time spoken of by the prophets and apostles and by Christ Himself. 

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come,” Matthew 24:11-14.

Strange to relate, the gospel is presently being preached amongst the nations, as it never was before. Yes, there is an abundance of error and falsehood propagated in the name of the ‘gospel’ but faithful gospel preaching, spread by the means of the internet, is reaching nations that have never been reached in the past.

That in itself is a harbinger of the approach of the end of this age as stated by the Saviour.

Please pray for these brethren and sisters caught up in this shameful and distressing event and may the Lord be pleased to use the incident to the advancing of the gospel in the area in which this witness took place.

I might add that I understand that no charges have been made against Pastor Sherwood.
