THE RESPONSE OF THE SONS.

We must now think of the response of the two sons.

1. Both sons showed a rebellious spirit. Verse 29, "I will not." Verse 30, "and went not." Both of them were rebellious in heart.

Cared not about PLEASING their father nor PARTAKING of the fruit nor in PROMOTING the wellbeing of the vineyard..

So it is with us all. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips," Romans 3:10-13.
