SERVING GOD IS NOT A WEARISOME THING (Continued)
God's vineyard is a place of rich reward and there is an immediate enjoyment of those rewards. There is none of us but delight in the taste of the grape. What a rich harvest it brings forth.
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost," Romans 14:17.
"And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost." Acts 13:52.
But there is not only joy NOW for those who faithfully serve the Lord but there is a great treasure waiting for us in heaven.
"But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal," Matthew 6:20.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you," 1 Peter 1:3-4.
"And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away," 1 Peter 5:4.
