“Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward,” Hebrews 11:25-26.
1. Moses was like the Lord Jesus, at the first he was rejected by Israel.
Ex 2:13-15. Like so many after him, there was a foreshadowing of the Lord Jesus in some of his experiences.
2. After 40 years, he was commanded by the Lord to return to Egypt to deliver Israel.
Acts 7.30-36. A long time after he returned and “brought them out” . . . with “wonders and signs”!
